UMR is a member of AMRO, which represents the major research organisations in New Zealand. Members co-operate in compiling industry data, establishing professional and ethical standards for the industry, and communicating with the users of research and the general public. Interviewer Quality Standards (IQS)
 
UMR has IQS accreditation for telephone interviewing and qualitative recruitment. Audits are carried out annually to ensure IQS's comprehensive standards are observed and that appropriate records are maintained. Accreditation provides clients with an assurance that quality fieldwork standards are being met, including training, conduct, supervision and quality monitoring.
